In the Story
Everyone makes their own decision on when the narrative intrusion is morally clean. Assuming that the film is about some emotional event among people, the question is if are we viewing to add to our soul, aor are we viewing to take something away from some other souls, even if fabricated? I think most viewers never consider this unless there is female nudity involved.
And then the question becomes more foreground. I see that in comments on this film; many think it designed merely titillate, with some random surrounding story elements.
My values are not pure by any means. My selfish goals are served by new visions. A large blind spot for me is navigating my (male) role in encounters with implicit sexual dynamics. So the setup, characters, and shared adventure engages me. It probably would have been as much so with less nudity though I have to say that the nudity here is very slight, never salacious or even particularly erotic. It is all about identity and agency, and I welcome the journey.
If you watch films just to take up space in your life, I suppose most films and much of reality TV is over the line, rubbernecking, intrusive in nature, even close to prostitution. But if the goal is to expand the emotional envelope, to add to the constantly shrivelling soul, then films like this are a blessing — moreso if they are small and superficially intimate.

This is a small film, in the same register as ‘Elvira Madigan’ but not cloyingly cinematic. Just simple.
