Salomé is 69-year-old and doesn't want to grow old in a society that pays little attention to elderly people; thus, she has organized her disappearance. She plans her last evening in detail, as she thinks about the last time she will have sexual intercourse. With the held of Sandra, a filmmaker, Salomé organizes a casting to choose the person with whom she will make love for the last time. But, as she abandons herself to pleasures, she discovers something new: her last time will also be a first time, just like every end is also a new beginning.

This is a very promising idea. Take a 69 year old actress who was a star from the golden age of porn, someone who has maintained over the years a position of dignity in self-governed sexual expression.
Posit the situation that this woman is for some reason alone, without sex for some time, and facing a future without sex altogether. She wants her last experience to be special, so advertises for a special partner — a special experience.
The character Brigitte Lahaie plays seems less experienced than the actress in terms of partners, but the alignment with the power of sex is clearly aligned between actress and character. And this woman knows how to entice the camera.
We had something like this idea with ‘La Grande Bouffe’.
The casting choices were adequately made, and we could easily imagine some discovery of self through skin. Almost everything is there for a powerful film, including the setup for the ‘last time’.
But the filmmaking is so profoundly bad, absolutely nothing is conveyed. No connection, no frisson, no yearning….
This is just bad filmmaking. That’s no sin. Most films are inept. But this one was more than halfway there in its conception.
