Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989)
The winner of this battle would be the most enormous enemy against human beings.
Filmmaker(s): Kazuki Ōmori

After the previous Godzilla attack, a miniature arms race ensues to collect his cells. Concerned over Godzilla's possible return, the Japanese government uses the cells to create a new bio-weapon, ANEB (Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria). They seeks the aid of geneticist Genshiro Shiragami, who's experiments result in a new mutation.

Sexual Spies

The Godzilla films — the Japanese ones — are essentially social commentary and painful self-reflection embodied in beasts. So we have films about American dominance, gangsters in corporations, pollution, national friendships…

This is the most complex one. The core story is a genius scientist creating a merger of Godzilla (through his cells), his recently dead daughter through her cells, and a rose that she had a telepathic connection to. This becomes the beast to which another pretty telepathic girl forms a connection — so she can report what the monster plant is feeling.

Surrounding this are spies, hidden conspiracies, and at least two powerful criminal organisations. Shootings, betrayals. Sneaky Arabs!

Meanwhile, there’s a brave special agent who has created an anti-Godzilla weapon platform, the ‘Super X 2’, plus another independently created bacteria that requires extra heat.

It is pretty mixed up, but I suspect that the target cohort would have had no trouble at all navigating the inferences. I’m watching many of these. There are dozens, but there isn’t much interesting to say other than with this one.
